HOW WE REVIEW BLOCKERS
Our editorial process is designed to look objectively at what a tool claims to do and how it operates in a general sense. We do not treat blockers as cures, guarantees or substitutes for broader support.
01 — Purpose
Is the tool designed specifically for gambling restriction (managing its own database of casinos) or is it a general digital blocking tool requiring manual input?
02 — Access Control
What type of blocking approach does the available information describe? Does it use DNS filtering, VPN profiles, OS-level integration, or heuristic analysis?
03 — Device Considerations
What device or platform context is publicly described by the vendor? We look at general suitability for Desktop vs Mobile environments.
04 — Practicality
How suitable is the tool for creating additional friction in everyday digital use without rendering a device entirely unusable for normal tasks?
05 — Limitations
What should users understand before relying on the tool? We assess the likelihood of circumvention, the burden of maintenance, and vendor transparency.
